Sheep Wool Comfort Pads

Natural comfort, moisture control, and pressure relief for sitting, sleeping, recovery, and immobility

Sheep’s wool is one of nature’s most effective materials for comfort and skin protection. Our Sheep Wool Comfort Pads are made from premium Merino wool‑pile fabric and designed to keep your body warm, dry, and supported whether you’re sitting, sleeping, recovering from surgery, or spending long periods in one position.

Wool naturally regulates temperature, carrying its own gentle warmth to keep muscles relaxed and reduce morning stiffness. It also absorbs 30–40% of its weight in moisture, pulling humidity away from the skin and releasing it into the air. This prevents the dampness that leads to irritation, skin breakdown, and bacterial growth something synthetic materials simply cannot do.

Our comfort pads provide pressure redistribution and off‑loading, helping protect the coccyx, hips, shoulders, and heels. If an area of skin becomes reddened, placing wool underneath often shows visible improvement within hours.

These pads are essential for anyone who spends significant time sitting or lying down, is post‑surgery, or has limited mobility.

What Is Sheep Wool Fabric?

Our wool fabric is made from:

  • real wool fibres (sheared from the sheep)

  • a soft nylon grid

  • a medical‑grade acrylic stabilizer

This creates a plush, breathable material that looks like sheepskin, but without the hide, making it machine washable up to 70°C and suitable for medical environments.

Care Instructions

  • Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)

  • Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

  • Air dry or tumble with no heat

  • Remove from dryer at about 85% dry

  • Spot clean with warm water and disinfecting soap

  • Avoid bleach, high heat, and direct sunlight

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and doesn’t require frequent washing.

100% Natural

Wool is a completely natural fiber, produced year-round by over 68 million sheep in Australia. These sheep thrive on a simple diet of grass, water, fresh air, and sunshine.

Biodegradable

Once wool fibers are discarded, they naturally break down in soil within a few years, gradually returning beneficial nutrients to the ground.

Naturally Breathable

Merino wool is highly breathable, with fibers that can absorb significant amounts of moisture vapor and release it into the air through evaporation.

Wrinkle Resistant

On a microscopic scale, each Merino wool fiber acts like a tiny spring, bouncing back to its original shape after being bent. This natural elasticity helps Merino garments resist wrinkling.

100% Renewable

Australian sheep grow a new fleece annually, making wool a fully renewable natural fiber.
