About Sheepskin & Sizing

• Sheepskin is soft leather that will stretch up to one full shoe size

• Molds naturally to your feet for a personalized fit

• Order according to your regular shoe size for the best slipper fit

General Care

• Expect light shedding at first, this is normal

• Air‑fluff (no heat) for 5 minutes to remove loose fibres

• Keep away from high heat and direct sunlight

• Wool fibres naturally bind (“clump”) over time,  this does not affect performance

• Brush with a wire brush after laundering if you prefer a fluffier look

With proper care, your footwear will last many, many years.

Washing Instructions

• Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water

• Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

• Air dry or tumble with NO heat

• Remove from dryer at 85% dry

• Spot clean with warm water with Eucalan or a leather soap.

• Do not bleach

• It may take a couple of days to dry

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and does not require frequent washing. To freshen, hang outside in moist air (out of sunlight). Wool will absorb moisture and release it indoors, naturally refreshing itself.

What is sheep wool fabric?

Our fabric is made from 100% shorn sheep wool, knitted into a nylon grid for strength and shape retention, then stabilized with a medical‑grade acrylic compound for washability. This ensures the body lies on pure wool fibre — not hide — while meeting IPAC guidelines.

Why a nylon grid?

• Prevents fraying
• Maintains shape better than cotton or wool alone
• Similar to nylon reinforcement in wool socks
• Renewable and sustainable

Why an acrylic stabilizer?

• Developed in Germany for high‑standard washability
• Used safely for decades with no reported allergies
• Allows full machine washability to 70°C
• Ensures long‑term durability

How does wool help with pressure injuries?

Wool distributes weight evenly, reduces pressure points, and stabilizes temperature — key factors in preventing ulcers and supporting healing.

Is wool good for night sweats?

Yes. Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet and releases it into the air, keeping sleepers dry — especially helpful for menopausal night sweats.

Is this the same as sheepskin?

No.
