Sheep’s Wool Comfort Pads create a warm, nurturing environment that supports deep rest, muscle relaxation, and skin integrity. Wool naturally regulates the body to 37°C, keeping you warm throughout the night so your muscles stay soft and relaxed. When your body isn’t fighting cold or dampness, it can use its energy for what sleep is meant for, regeneration and healing.

Wool absorbs 30–40% of its weight in moisture, releasing it back into the air instead of trapping it against your skin. Synthetic materials hold humidity, creating the perfect environment for skin breakdown and bacterial growth. Wool keeps the skin dry, balanced, and protected.

Our high‑density medical wool provides pressure redistribution, off‑loading, and support for bed sore prevention. If an area of skin becomes reddened, there is typically a 24–36 hour window before breakdown occurs. Comfort Pads help protect vulnerable areas by reducing friction, wicking moisture, and maintaining a stable microclimate.

½" wool pile interwoven with 1" pile. Suitable for everyday use, fragile skin, post‑breakdown recovery, and palliative care.

Green XD1750 - (Exclusive to Soul Comfort)

½" wool pile interwoven with 1" pile. Ideal for incontinence solutions, high‑moisture environments, fragile skin, and palliative care.

What Our Comfort Pads Are Made Of

Our pads are crafted from sheep wool fabric, not hide:

• 100% sheep wool fibre

• Knitted into a nylon grid for strength and shape retention

• Stabilized with a medical‑grade acrylic compound for full washability

Why nylon?

Nylon adds durability, prevents fraying, and maintains structure, similar to how wool socks are reinforced. It is renewable, sustainable, and complements wool beautifully.

Why acrylic stabilizer?

Developed in Germany for medical washability, it has been used safely for decades with no reported allergies. It allows the wool to be fully machine washable while preserving the therapeutic benefits of the fibre.

This construction allows us to enjoy the healing properties of wool while ensuring the sheep are shorn humanely and remain healthy.

General Care

• Expect light shedding at first; this is normal

• Air‑fluff in the dryer (no heat) for 5 minutes to remove loose fibres

• Keep away from high heat and direct sunlight

• Wool may “clump” over time, this does not affect performance; simply brush

• Brush with a metal brush after washing if you prefer a fluffier look

With proper care, your wool products will last many, many years.

Washing Instructions

• Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)

• Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

• Air dry recommended

• You may tumble dry without heat to fluff

• Remove at 85% dry, remaining moisture will dissipate quickly

• Over‑drying may cause excessive “knobbing” that brushing cannot fully remove

• Spot clean with warm water (up to 70°C) and disinfecting soap

• Do not bleach

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and does not require frequent washing. To freshen, hang outside in moist air, out of direct sunlight.
