The Open Knee‑High Protector is designed to provide full‑length comfort and protection from just below the knee to the foot. Made from 1" medical‑density Merino sheep’s wool fabric, it offers natural warmth, moisture control, and cushioning,  ideal for fragile, reddened, swollen, or post‑surgical skin.

Sheep’s wool naturally regulates body temperature, helping muscles stay warm and relaxed. It absorbs 30–40% of its weight in moisture, releasing it into the air to prevent dampness, irritation, and bacterial growth. Its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties make it an excellent choice for individuals with limited mobility or vulnerable skin.

The protector opens fully and secures with four wide Velcro straps, making it easy to put on and remove. Outside seams prevent rubbing and chafing, ensuring maximum comfort for sensitive legs and feet.

What Is Sheep Wool Fabric?

Our wool fabric is made from:

• real wool fibres (sheared from the sheep)

• a soft nylon grid

• a medical‑grade acrylic stabilizer

This creates a plush, breathable material that looks like sheepskin but without the hide, making it durable, washable, and ideal for medical and palliative care use.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)

• Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

• Air dry or tumble with NO heat

• Remove from dryer at 85% dry — remaining moisture evaporates naturally

• Spot clean with warm water (up to 70°C) and disinfecting soap if needed

• Avoid bleach, high heat, and direct sunlight

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and does not require frequent washing. To freshen, hang outside in moist air (out of sunlight); the wool will release moisture and self‑refresh.
