Care instructions

  • Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)
  • Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)
  • Air dry or tumble with no heat
  • Remove from dryer at about 85% dry
  • Spot clean with warm water with Eucalan or disinfecting soap
  • Avoid bleach, high heat, and direct sunlight

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and doesn’t require frequent washing. To freshen, hang outside in moist air (out of direct sunlight); the wool will release moisture and self‑refresh.

FAQ

What is sheep wool fabric?

Our fabric is made from 100% shorn sheep wool, knitted into a nylon grid for strength and shape retention, then stabilized with a medical‑grade acrylic compound for washability. This ensures the body lies on pure wool fibre — not hide — while meeting IPAC guidelines.

Why a nylon grid?

  • Prevents fraying
  • Maintains shape better than cotton or wool alone
  • Similar to nylon reinforcement in wool socks
  • Renewable and sustainable

Why an acrylic stabilizer?

  • Developed in Germany for high‑standard washability
  • Used safely for decades with no reported allergies
  • Allows full machine washability to 70°C
  • Ensures long‑term durability

How does wool help with pressure injuries?

Wool distributes weight evenly, reduces pressure points, and stabilizes temperature — key factors in preventing ulcers and supporting healing.

Is wool good for night sweats?

Yes. Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet and releases it into the air, keeping sleepers dry — especially helpful for menopausal night sweats.

Is this the same as sheepskin?

No.

  • Sheepskin = hide + wool attached
  • Sheep wool fabric = shorn wool fibre knitted into a backing
Our products use sheep wool fabric, making them washable, breathable, and humane.

Why Wool?

Wool is one of nature’s most advanced performance fibres, breathable, durable, and exceptionally comfortable. It creates a stable, balanced sleep environment that works for all types of sleepers, all year round.

Temperature Regulation

Wool naturally keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. It adapts to your body temperature, making it ideal for hot sleepers, cold sleepers, and couples with different comfort needs.

Moisture Management

Wool absorbs 30–40% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp. It pulls humidity away from the skin and releases it into the air, keeping bedding dry, fresh, and comfortable through the night.

Naturally Clean

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial. It resists odour, mildew, and bacteria, staying fresher longer and requiring less washing than synthetic bedding.

Pressure‑Soft Comfort

Wool fibres gently cushion the body, reducing pressure points and helping muscles relax. This creates a softer, more forgiving sleep surface that supports deeper rest.

Breathable & Non‑Clammy

Unlike foam or polyester, wool never traps heat or moisture. It stays breathable and comfortable, preventing the “hot and sticky” feeling common with synthetic bedding.

Renewable & Sustainable

Wool is a renewable fibre shorn from sheep annually. It’s biodegradable, long‑lasting, and produced with far less environmental impact than synthetic materials.

Humane Alternative to Sheepskin

Our products use sheep wool fabric, not sheepskin.

  • Sheepskin = hide + wool
  • Sheep wool fabric = shorn wool fibre knitted into a backing

This makes our products washable, breathable, and humane, the sheep keep their hide, and the wool grows back naturally.

Hypochlorous Acid Skin Cleanser — Gentle, Effective & Safe for Fragile Skin

Non‑Stinging • Alcohol‑Free • Biomimetic Skin Support

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is one of the most powerful yet gentle skin‑cleansing solutions available today. It’s the same molecule your immune system naturally produces to protect and repair the skin barrier. Soul Comfort’s HOCl spray delivers this natural defence in a pure, stabilized, pH‑balanced form,  ideal for sensitive, irritated, or compromised skin.

HOCl cleanses without stinging, drying, or disrupting the skin’s microbiome, making it suitable for all ages and all skin types, including newborns, seniors, and individuals with fragile or reactive skin.

What Is Hypochlorous Acid?

Hypochlorous Acid is a naturally occurring molecule created by white blood cells as part of the body’s innate immune response. It helps:

  • Keep the skin clean

  • Reduce microbial load

  • Support the skin’s natural healing environment

All without harsh chemicals, fragrances, alcohol, or irritation.

Because HOCl is biomimetic and pH‑balanced, it is exceptionally well tolerated, even on delicate, inflamed, or post‑procedure skin.

Key Benefits

  • Cleanses and purifies without irritation

  • Reduces bacteria, fungi, and biofilm on the skin’s surface

  • Supports the skin barrier and maintains a healthy microbiome

  • Non‑stinging, non‑drying, alcohol‑free

  • Safe for sensitive, fragile, or compromised skin

  • Ideal for wound‑care routines, post‑procedure skin, and daily cleansing

How to Use

  • Spray directly onto clean skin or affected areas

  • Allow to air‑dry or gently pat dry

  • Follow with lanolin or your preferred moisturizer

For wound‑care routines

  1. Clean the area

  2. Apply HOCl spray

  3. Apply lanolin or loose wool as directed

HOCl is gentle enough for repeated daily use.

What Microorganisms Is HOCl Effective Against?

(SEO‑safe, clinically accurate, non‑diagnostic wording)

Hypochlorous Acid is widely used in clinical, wound‑care, and dermatology settings because it is effective at reducing a broad range of microorganisms on the skin, including:

  • Staphylococcus aureus (including MRSA)

  • Streptococcus pyogenes

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa

  • E. coli

  • Klebsiella pneumoniae

  • Cutibacterium acnes (associated with acne)

  • Candida species (yeast)

  • Common dermatophytes (fungal organisms affecting skin)

This list reflects well‑established laboratory testing of HOCl solutions used in wound care and dermatology. HOCl reduces microbial load and helps keep the skin clean, without making medical treatment claims.

100% Natural

Wool is a completely natural fiber, produced year-round by over 68 million sheep in Australia. These sheep thrive on a simple diet of grass, water, fresh air, and sunshine.

Biodegradable

Once wool fibers are discarded, they naturally break down in soil within a few years, gradually returning beneficial nutrients to the ground.

Naturally Breathable

Merino wool is highly breathable, with fibers that can absorb significant amounts of moisture vapor and release it into the air through evaporation.

Wrinkle Resistant

On a microscopic scale, each Merino wool fiber acts like a tiny spring, bouncing back to its original shape after being bent. This natural elasticity helps Merino garments resist wrinkling.

100% Renewable

Australian sheep grow a new fleece annually, making wool a fully renewable natural fiber.
