Wool Pillows — Customized Comfort, Natural Support

Moisture‑balancing, temperature‑intelligent, and fully adjustable for your perfect sleep

Experience a pillow that adapts to you. Our Soul Comfort Wool Pillows are filled with specially selected loose wool, chosen for its softness, resilience, and ability to support proper neck alignment in every sleeping position. Whether you sleep on your back, side, or stomach, the wool gently contours to your shape, never collapsing, never trapping heat.

Wool’s natural moisture‑control properties keep the neck area dry and comfortable, reducing morning stiffness, joint pain, and the discomfort caused by dampness or overheating. For menopausal women or anyone experiencing night sweats, wool’s temperature‑regulating ability brings noticeable relief and deeper, more restorative sleep.

Each pillow includes a zippered cotton cover, allowing you to easily remove or add wool fill to achieve your ideal loft based on your sleeping position and mattress firmness.

Why Choose a Wool Pillow

  • Proper neck alignment for all sleeping positions

  • Temperature‑regulating- ideal for hot sleepers and menopausal night sweats

What Is the Difference Between Sheepskin and Sheep Wool?

  • Sheepskin includes the hide with the wool still attached.

  • Sheep wool is the fibre shorn from the sheep and used to create washable, breathable wool fabric.

At Soul Comfort, we use sheep wool fabric for most of our products because it is soft, durable, and machine washable.

What Is Sheep Wool Fabric?

Our wool fabric is made from:

  • Wool fibre (sheared from sheep)

  • A soft nylon grid

  • A medical‑grade acrylic stabilizer

The wool is “knitted” into the grid and stabilized to create a flat, plush surface that looks like sheepskin, without the hide. This makes it durable, breathable, and machine washable.

How to Care for Your Wool Pillow

Keep your pillow soft, breathable, and naturally self‑refreshing

Wool is a living fibre, it loves moisture, breathes with the air around it, and naturally refreshes itself. With simple care, your wool pillow will stay soft, supportive, and comfortable for many years.

Keep Away From High Heat & Direct Sunlight

High heat and strong sunlight can dry out wool fibres. Wool needs a little moisture to stay springy, soft, and resilient.

Natural Refreshing (Self‑Cleaning Cycle)

Wool has a remarkable ability to refresh itself when exposed to moisture in the air.

  1. Place your pillow outside when the air is moist (fog, evening humidity, light mist).

  2. The wool will absorb natural moisture.

  3. When brought back indoors, it will release the excess moisture, leaving the pillow naturally deodorized and refreshed.

No chemicals. No sprays. Just nature doing what it does best.

Preventing & Loosening Wool Clumping

Wool may “clump” over time, especially for people who sleep with their mouth open, as warm breath dries the fibres. This is normal and does not affect performance.

Monthly Maintenance (Recommended)

  • Place the pillow in the dryer on air‑fluff / no heat

  • Add a damp facecloth

  • Run for 5 minutes

The gentle moisture and tumbling action loosen the fibres and restore loft.

If Your Pillow Feels Extra Firm or Compacted

  • Repeat the air‑fluff cycle

  • Massage the pillow by hand to redistribute the wool

  • Add or remove wool fill as needed through the zippered cover

  • Washing Instructions

    • Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)

    • Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

    • Air dry or tumble with NO heat

    • Remove from dryer at 85% dry- remaining moisture evaporates naturally

    • Spot clean with warm water (up to 70°C) and disinfecting soap if there is a concern about bacteria

    • Do not bleach

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and does not require frequent laundering. To freshen, hang outside in moist air (out of sunlight); the wool will release moisture and self‑refresh.

100% Natural

Wool is a completely natural fiber, produced year-round by over 68 million sheep in Australia. These sheep thrive on a simple diet of grass, water, fresh air, and sunshine.

Biodegradable

Once wool fibers are discarded, they naturally break down in soil within a few years, gradually returning beneficial nutrients to the ground.

Naturally Breathable

Merino wool is highly breathable, with fibers that can absorb significant amounts of moisture vapor and release it into the air through evaporation.

Wrinkle Resistant

On a microscopic scale, each Merino wool fiber acts like a tiny spring, bouncing back to its original shape after being bent. This natural elasticity helps Merino garments resist wrinkling.

100% Renewable

Australian sheep grow a new fleece annually, making wool a fully renewable natural fiber.
