The wool used in this cover more commonly used in Austrailia/New Zealand and is know as wool fabric. It is fairly new to North America. Being sustainable/renewable this fabric is achieved by weaving the sheared wool into an acrylic backing and stabilized with potato starch. Acrylic is used because it maintains it shape and is resistant to mold and mildew.
